Although this photo was taken a little while ago, and seems to suffer from a surfeit of strangely coloured enamel, it is of Credible Muggins (“Mugsy” to some), and is an accurate reflection of how he appears — well, it would be an accurate reflection if it weren't for a few minor special effects. Some people may think he’s made of moulded plastic and melted enamel, but reality is much more pleasing.

These are some of CM’s favourite activities:

• Cooking chicken in a spicy tomato sauce with coriander, cumin, garlic, and all sorts of devil-frightening flavourings.

• Embarking on a cornucopia of wild expeditions and exciting ventures

• Entertaining the neighbours with wild bursts of loud music

• Shouting at horse-chestnuts (but only when no-one’s watching)

In the pursuit of weird occurrences and strange people, CM has encountered a very large number of unique vistas, some of which are captured in glorious Kodachrome, whilst others reflect the more hum-drum grey aspects of life.
